Meng and Pao Kai's Wedding Dinner

Meng and Pao Kai's Wedding Dinner went really well. I'm especially pround of my sister's "Thank You" speech.

We started the day with some food (really yummy) and some sleep (or tried to sleep).

Then we proceed on to the simple traditional (My brother try to act as the "Tai Kum Cheh". But he did gave us some laughs. Thanks bro.) Tea Ceremony

The night was when we really get to enjoy the company of relatives and friends and of course Sister's speech.

Yee Lai Houng (Mistress Street)

We were back in Ipoh recently and visited the Yee Lai Hong or Panglima Street for lunch. This is how the street looks like and it used to be a street strong in neighbourhood community.

Now I know some may not agree to take this place as an example of community unity...but the point is...were are we heading now. What had happened to our neighbourhood community spirit? Now it is like "You take care of yourself and me, mine" or "Don't bother me. I'm too busy".

We have now become individualistic. We are constantly in a world of our own. The computers of course contributed much with Internets and things like "The Sims World". We make or build our own make belief world. We can be whomever we want to be. We spend time, much time on our own. We hardly plays games like, tops, cards, skipping ropes, softballs, badminton etc together.

Well the point is...let's make efforts to spend physical time together. Talk to each other face to face. Have Teh Tarik together. This help builds Community Spirit.

So call me for a cup of teh or coffee.

Poh Chai

We were "given" (more like we have been asked to baby sit for an indefinite period of time) a dog by our nephew and his wife. Really cute and obedient dog. Really a true blue house dog.He will do his business onto a sheet of towel. He quietly stay in his "room" when we put him there. He would follow me around and will sit close by my side all the time. In short...the ideal or close to ideal dog.
Doesn't he reminds you of the CJ7 movie?

12hour34minute56second of 7/8/09

I'm back.
Today (7th Of August 2009), in the afternoon, at precisely 12.34 and 56 seconds, we will have a rare moment of a sequence of number 123456789 being lined up. Never in our lifetime will it happen again...and then again...every second, every minute, every hour, every day...is a once in a lifetime experience. So live it out to our LORD. Only those things that are done in the name of the LORD JESUS and for HIM will yield eternal value.

Ice Age 3D

It's been awhile since we last updated our blog. Not that nothing has happened. On the contrary, so much have happened that we could not update our blog for a short while. Will try to update the blog later. At presence, suffice to note that the kids had their first taste of a 3D movie...and what better time then tonight when the Golden Screen Cinema has started their promotion (probably because business has dropped significantly due to the H1N1). They were selling their 3D Movie tickets for RM10 per ticket. So there we go a-marching over to Pavilion tonight. And it cost us RM40.00 for the tickets. The kids enjoyed the movie and sure hope for more.
We took Japanese food before we bagan the show and had KFC after. All in all, the food cost us almost RM60. With RM6.00 for tonight's parking, we actually spent RM106.00 for tonight. Now, those were the days when you spend between RM10.00 and RM50.00 for an outing. Sigh!!! How our money had shrunk. Maybe Hollywood should make a movie calle "Honey I Shrunk The Money".
Until the next blog. Goodnight
