Major Damaged (To The Wallet)

Every time I hear the UMW "Going An Extra Mile For Their Client" advertisement...it feels revolting. Here we are owning a Toyota Avanza for about 5 years and we have non-stop problems with it.

First it was the "jerking" problem every time we drive at a speed between 80 and 100km/hr and their explanation is that the tyres are new or not well balanced.

Second the Wind Screen cracked on it's own (Found out later that we were not the only one) and they said it's tiny pebbles that broke it. (Seriously...we couldn't even find traces of pebble hitting the Wind Screen).

Then the steering began to screek and we send it to the workshop (Shamelin Toyota Workshop...even from the beginning) to fix it. It came back with a problem later...a temperamental horn. It works when you don;t need it and won't when you do. Later it gave up it's ghost completely. Solution...The Workshop recommended changing the whole steering...which will cost us more than RM1,000.00. Later Simon The Mechanics, of Simon Says (http://simonmechanic.blogspot.com/) solved it for less than RM50.00.

Now...the latest...the car jerks and knock hard when it goes into reverse gear. Reason...I guess its because the Gears Transmission Oil had never been changed before...after more than 4 years. My wife sends the car to the Shamelin Toyota workshop from day one and I guess...(you guess la...I'm too "geram" to say). Again, we found out that a friend who sends to the Shamelin Toyota Workshop had a similar experience. He was charged for The Transmission Oil Change but later found out that his car jerks too. It seems they didn't do the job for him but still charges. Anyway the damaged cost me almost RM2,000.00

So my dear brother...now you know why we have not been able and ahve the desire to update our blog...other then the fact that I have been lazy...Yawn !!! Need to sleep...again.
