This morning we were informed by our neighbour that their car was stolen early this morning and we slept through the whole commotion. The thief / thieves broke the padlock and got into the car and just drove off while the neighbour's mom (who happens to have just got up, screamed at him / them).Just last night I was mentioning to our house helper to be extra careful since the price of petrol is going up and that inevitable other things, whether edible or not, will follow suite. This will eventually be translated into more crimes. Didn't expect it to happen so soon and so near to home.
There is another passage that I recall and it's from Matthew 6
Mt 6:19
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
Mt 6:20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
Mt 6:21
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
So where is my treasure? Where is your treasure?
