Teaching My Son Or Him Teaching Me?

Well Ian and I were...well driving along and he started asking me about taking driving lessons. So we talk about road signs. I explained to him about the use of the Yellow Box and he asked me about the white line before it. "We are not allowed to stop beyond the white line Ian." I said. "So Pa, why are you stopping beyond the line?" he asked.

Now, was I teaching him or was he teaching me? It brought to mind a question that was asked in our Bible Study under Matthew 18:6-14. "List some things parents can do or not do that constitute stumbling blocks to their children in GOD's sight." So this is indeed a lesson that I have to learn first hand.

She Did A "Paula"

My wife was given the opportunity to be Paula for a day. She was asked to be a judge for the Petra Song Fest 2008

Memories

"Memories. Light the corner of my mind...misty water-coloured memories....of the way we were..." Some 11 years ago...it was
This Church
This Stage
And These Type Of Mike

That I worked on as a Stage Manager for a fund raising event that I first met my wife...now..today we were given the opportunity to revisit this place as husband and wife with two kids...for my wife to sing in a choir for the LORD.

Good News, Great News And Greatest News

Good News. Today I received an official Purchase Order from my client. It's the one that I have been waiting for for a few weeks. I must confess that it's not really my doing but a provision from our dear LORD and thru the prayers of some beloved brothers.

Great news. Well, look who is back today? The Chins. Our dear family from Down Under. G'day mate. So great to have them back...even if it's for a short time.

Greatest news. No doubt our dear PM did a flip flop (ie 2 days ago he announced that fuel price will not go down until 31st of August and today, 22nd August, he announced that the price of fuel will go down by 15 sen starting midnight tonight). Now this is a flip flop that I don't mind...even though some will attribute it to being a political move...since there is a bi election in Permatang Puah. Hopefully..though I do doubt it...there will be some reduction in prices of food or essential goods. Nonetheless thank you PM.

Trip To Port Dickson

We were made to wait for 30 mins before we could check in into the room.

So while we wait, we were offered a drink each...as a "peace offering".

Merdeka

Happy 51st Birthday Malaysia. Come this 31st of August, Malaysia will be 51. 51 years of independence. 51 years of being on our own.

We have gone thru' much. Very much especially since the last General Election. So much have changed. In fact, the last 6 months are 6 months of changes that Malaysia have not ever experienced before since independence.

Our Government lost their 2/3 majority, the f uel cost at it's
highest. Cost of edible and non edible has gone up. Business slowdown seems to be a norm. Streets demonstrations that hardly takes place then seems to happen more often causing (directly or indirectly) disruption to the traffic flow etc etc etc.

Nonetheless Malaysia is Malaysia and it will remain as our beloved country. It is GOD who puts the people in the Government where they are. For whatever actions that they have done...they will be answerable to the GOD almighty...likewise to all who holds whatever leadership position. It is not up to us to lift up or to bring down anyone. It is GOD's Sovereign will and purpose. Eventually it will be for HIS glory and honour.

A Trip To KL Tower

We had a flat...we have no choice but to take the dreaded track....we must make it. We must.

It was a hard climb to our destination. Lots of sweat...lots of tears...We have to track thru' thick jungle in order to reach.

Aaaah yes!!!...at last we caught sight of it..."Phew" The KL Tower.

The sight of it was awesome. It's amazing how tall it is.

Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! The final hurdle to reach our destination. Yahooooo!!!

We made it...we made it...we made it...Yeah!!!

We were taken to 250M above sea level in this cubical machine.

The SIGHT!!!

Good News And Sad Event

Good News. Ian Called me this afternoon telling me that he had scored 100 marks for his Chinese Maths test paper...which is a second (the first was when he was in Primary 1) and an achievement since it's in Mandarin. Well done son. Keep it up.

Sad Event. Today my long time dear friend left Kuala Lumpur for USA with his family. It's one thing that he is here and you hardly communicate...it's another when they are not within a shout away anymore. So, so long and farewell. My dear friend. It reminds me of the song that he loves to sing..."Goodbye to you my trusted friend... We known each other since we're 9 or 10..."
