Lake Garden - A Visit
It has been years since the last time I went to Lake Garden. So it's not a surprise that I got kind of lost. Needed to ask for directions from strangers and thus realise that the new entrance to Lake Garden is through a tunnel. The kids needs to crawl in at one end of the tunnel to emerge at the other end which is the Lake Garden.

After the toilet break...it was back to a "Eagle Catching Chics Game".
But of cause before long, we realised that there's a better way for us to reach the Lake Garden.
Well, still...we needed the exercise...right?
And a prayer for protection over each and everyone of us...and GOD did kept us all safe. Praise the LORD.
Seeing this fountain reminds you of the fact that one needs to go to the toilet...and it's no wonder that this fountain in located near the public toilets. (Now...I've gotta take a break to go to the toilet. Continue in a while. If the fountain has the same affect on you, do let me know).
The visit to the toilet cost us RM0.20 per person...but the way they handle (or fold) the tickets was interesting.
After the toilet break...it was back to a "Eagle Catching Chics Game".
Now all of us were ready for food and got both the spiritual food as well as the physical food.
We visited the Deer Park...which is a 10 mins walking distance away.
But we didn't expect to cross the "Grand Canyon" to reach it.
But at last...we get to see (and to smell them too) the deers.
We all need to wash upu and clean up before we say...
GOODBYE.
WHAT!!!? RM60,000 ?

Diving In Tioman And Redang Closed
Thursday July 22, 2010
Several dive sites at marine parks in the country including the top diving destinations in the world — Pulau Tioman in Pahang and Pulau Redang in Terengganu – have been temporarily closed due to coral bleaching. Divers and snorkellers are barred from the dive sites until the end of October to protect the corals which have turned white due to global warming.

Prices as usual at mamak shops
KUALA LUMPUR: It’s business as usual at mamak restaurants without any change in price.
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7ZhmieS2yIpHbk6qwXUIP4CI_bmWCU9VPg5t4TkeYXhTAmaqyiOwzKMsT7qWLFsUeMTnGHZbqQMvTqwPk8kbBJi4GxzMrpGkIhVi1-lor_2L-VxHNYDVVDAgz6meR_gpZyl3eiteLENvd/s200/Nasi+Lemak.jpg)
Well the Mamaks are not allowed to raise price but our regular road side Nasi Lemak seller has RAISED his price of Nasi Lemak with sotong from RM 3.50 to RM 4.00. That's almost 15% increased. So instead of having Nasi Lemak WIth SOtong once a week, we can have it once a fortnight.
So who said that the recent increase in prices (or sorry the recent "Upward Price Adjustment or if you prefer "Subsidy Rationalisation" ) will have no effect on the market.
Help please help before it gets worst.

In conjunction with the (just ended) World Cup, a local Shopping Mall ran a contest for it's clients who spent more than RM50.00 per receipt in any of it's stall. All in all, through the entire month of the contest we submitted in about 6 forms. Out of the 6 forms, I filled up the name of my wife. The result came in the post today. Her one and only form, won a consolation prize. A pair of sunglasses worth RM300.00.
WHAT HAPPENED TO MINE? I went through my mail again a moment ago...hoping that I have missed out on mine...that may have won the Grand Prize. Since I can't find it, I'm sure they must have taken their time to mail mine out as they needed time to prepare for the photo shoot and the press conference.
So watch out for my photos in the local papers ok?

Prices of sugar, petrol, LPG and diesel to go up Friday
From Friday, the subsidies for sugar, petrol, liquefied petroleum gas and diesel will be cut as part of the Government's gradual subsidy rationalisation programme. The price of sugar will go up 25sen to RM1.75 per kg; LPG will go up 10sen to RM1.85 per kg; RON95 petrol will be up 5sen to RM1.85 per litre and diesel will be up 5sen to RM1.75 per litre. RON 97 petrol will no longer be subsidised - its price will be determined by the automatic pricing mechanism.
Here we go again. After the drastic hike of petrol from RM1.92 to RM2.70 per litre by our past PM Abdullah Badawi, the traders plus ever our some of our Utility guys took the opportunity to raise their prices. After readjusting back to RM1.80 per litre, prices of things have not gone down. Now with this hike in price again, are we gonna see adjustment in prices of our daily necessities and food too? I don't dare to think. It's already getting difficult to make ends meet...now with this it can only get worst.

Food For Thought
This is one of the best tea break finger food of Malaysia. Most of us just love this, along with the Goreng Pisang and whatnots.
I haven't had this for sometime (tying to watch my weight) and today I couldn't resist it. I approached a road side store and this is what I have to say about this food and the store that sells the Goreng Ubi Kentang.
1. The food -
The Ubi Kentang size have shrunk tremendously. It's only 50% of the size that we use to buy. As for the thickness, it's also 50% of what it used to.
They applied more flour in now to "puff" up the food.
2. The Seller -
Well, she offered me 5 pieces for RM2.00 and when I asked for RM1.00 worth...she gave me 3 pieces of it. Hum? If I will to immediately buy another RM1.00 worth...I wonder if she would have worked out the mathematics error of it?

Beware !!! Be Aware !!!
Got this email from my sister-in-law. Not sure if it's a method that's being engaged by the intended robbers but still...it's better to be careful and to be in the know. Drive with care. ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiUD7hrg1jKnp83R2oVV5Ke0KjS-WJT8hgSU787B5N3E9Is8xtjjBduu82USohk9bRvddvBmUdXEgyrZ2lG7zsh2gZOKq0ZlOBp5uk6ep9PgQV9fUZI5qKfLysjqeN6atpcEQGrJcaAXfV-/s200/egg8.jpg)

You can't clean away smashed eggs on the windscreen with the wiper and sprayed water.
Please take note of this.
If you are driving at night and are attacked by eggs, do not operate the wiper or spray any water.
You can drive with whatever visibility remaining until you reach a safer place.
Because eggs when mixed with water becomes milky and block your vision up to 92.5%.
Then you are forced to stop at the road side and become a victim of robbers
This is a new technique used by robbers in Johor Bahru.
Please inform your friends and relatives.
Please take this seriously.

Never Judge The Food By It's Presentation

This morning while on the way to church, our eldest son was reciting some of the proverbs that he had learned. One of it was " Never judge it's book by it's cover." and then he went on to explain the meaning to us.
We were invited for a meal this afternoon and we were treated to a home cook "Kelantanese Laksa". This is a first for us and I must say that it taste real good. SO even for food we must say..."Never Judge The Food By It's Presentation".

Ordered one set of snack plate and a set of Colonel Burger with two extra large drinks. It cost us almost RM20.00 for this meal.
The two pieces of chicken were really small and the burger was like..."Hello??? Where are you?" (If you know what I mean).
My 10 year old son...after eating the burger and the wedges was asking us to prepare a packet of Maggi Mee for him when we go home.
The price of food keeps going up but the quantity goes down.
