So this 14th of November 2008 will be our 10th year Anniversary. It seems like just 2 or 3 years ago that we walked down the aisle.
I want to thank the LORD for seeing us through this 10 years. I remembered that when we started our lives together...we were worried about whether we could see each other through as both of us are different and we have lot of our own idiosyncrasies. We have heard that marriage breakdown because one partner keeps refusing to cap the toothpaste after use...and this was rather scary for me. But lo and behold...we managed to come up with a useful system...The one who brushes first will apply the toothpaste for the rest of the others...so in this way, we know exactly who haven't or didn't brush the teeth the night before or in the morning. This is extremely useful to monitor the kids.
I am one who doesn't like to confront or talk about difficult things...would rather sweep them under the carpet and she is one who would confront this head on and try to solve them amicably. I'm one with a full ego and pride...she can testify to this....to all who disagree...you don't know me. I snore and grind my teeth when I sleep and she will be sleeping silently throughout the night.
Sometimes I wonder what my wife really sees in me...or guess she may have come in with both eyes close. And sometimes I wonder whether she regretted marrying me because I find that I'm more of a burden than a comfort.
But this for sure...we have been married for almost 10 years now and it is not because of our doing but because GOD enables us and allows us to be together. HE has constantly proven to us that HE is with us and has been blessings us throughout our 10 years journey.
In many occasions we see HIM moving HIS mighty hands to provide for us and it's usually at the 11th hour...as if to show us that it is not by our effort except HIS and HE deserve all praises.
10 years into our lives together...GOD blesses us with 2 lovely boys, Ian and Ivan. No, they are not angels, infact they are far from it. They are rather a handful, earful and even eyeful...if you know what I mean. But they are GOD's gift to us and we thank HIM, our GOD almighty for them.
There are so many moments that we have shared, comments that they have made, spontaneous actions etc, are really just beyond words. One of the reason we started this blog is to try to make a journal of their lives. Moments that we may not be able to capture via our camera (or that our limited memory space in our brains will automatically override them them) but will always be (try to) cherished in our memories. So this blog is the way that we will be able to document them.
