Red Colour And CNY

Red Colour is synonymous with Chinese New Year. Traditionally Chinese always likes Red. It's a happy tone. It denotes prosperity. It tells of celebration. It speaks of good fortune. It always goes hand-in-hand with Chinese New Year Celebration. (But our kiddos have gone a bit too far when they had red tongues...no, no fault of theirs...just the colouring that my sister put in into her agar-agar- for Chinese New Year sake...usually she wouldn't put any.)

Many of us will decorate our house with Ang (Red in Hokkien) Pows every where. Red cloth over the lintel of the door...which is significant even for the Jews and the Christian as it reminds us of the blood of the lamb that was placed upon the lintel and door post so that the Angel Of Death will pass over the household...because they obeyed GOD definite and clear instruction given through Moses in Egypt (Exodus 12).

Likewise now...we have the LORD JESUS CHRIST in our heart (when we repent of our sin, call upon HIM for forgiveness, believe that JESUS died on my behalf, that the blood that HE shed is sufficient to pay for our sin completely, making HIM LORD of our lives) so that the punishment that are meant for us will not be meted out unto us...but upon the LAMB Of GOD (JESUS CHRIST). And instead eternal life has been granted to us. A Child of GOD...we have become (John 1 :12).

Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. ( Heb 9:22).
