Started our trip after breakfast but...bad call...we were caught in the "Rush-To-The-Office" traffic jam. So even though we met at around 7.30am we really only managed to leave Kuala Lumpur after 9.30am.
We stopped by in Butterworth for a quick bite at a Mac Donald before we continue our journey to Kuala Kedah (which we managed to reached around 4.00pm)...to take a One-And-A-Half-Hour Ferry Ride to Langkawi. We parked our cars at an open space opposite the Jetty and it cost us RM 10.00 per day per car. As for the Ferry ticket, it was RM23.00 for adult and RM17 for a child between 3 and 12 years of age. The ride was pretty uncomfortable for me because the sea was choppy. Never had this feeling before...guess it comes with old age. As for the kids...they really enjoyed their ride.
At the Langkawi's Jetty, we hired a 10-Seater Taxi to Mutiara Burau Bay Resort. The ride was about 40 minutes and it cost us RM60.00. On the way there, we notice some mighty dark clouds.

Shortly after reaching the Resort, it started to pour and we have no choice but to let the bags be left in the Lobby while we adjourn to the Resort Restaurant for our dinner.

Even after our dinner, the rain was still pouring and we have to get help from the Hotel to loan us a few umbrellas to get to our chalets. (Nice umbrellas though...you will see a few shots of it and of course the chalet later)
